Today in Gabriella's Cafe we are serving....

Spiced Hot Chocolate

1 cup milk
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 square BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, finely chopped
2 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
MIX milk and cinnamon in saucepan. Bring just to boil on medium-high heat.
ADD chocolate; beat with wire whisk until chocolate is completely melted and milk is slightly frothy.
SERVE hot with the cookies.

Its Novemeber...and its starting to cool down...YEAH! So a cup of hot chocolate sounds wonderful and warming to me.
Today we are serving Hot Chocolate.....Enjoy.

Soooo.....when you start sipping your hot chocolate....what is one of the first things that comes to your mind?
Hmmmm....for me..... It would probably be early mornings as a child getting our garage sale started, sipping our hot cocoa in the cold, waiting for people to come by.
Another memory is Christmas Morning Breakfasts as a child. Eating country ham (salted one), fresh homemade baked bread, and enjoying my delicious hot chocolate with those little marshmellows.
Hmmmmmmm.....Good times!

Maybe you can make me some next time I come over? Or how about bring some for our "Napoleon Dynamite" viewing party?

I used to eat "Toast and Hot Chocolate" together as a kid. I mean actually dunking a half piece of buttered toast into the cup. It's actually quite good! That's one of my memories. And the memory of the "made from scratch" stuff that I had at David and Michele's last November, that's a more recent memory of the hot chocolate drink.

Mmmmm...sounds like a very taste recipe.
When I think of hot chocolate I think of my baby brother sipping it and getting a chocolate moustache, and that bright look of excitement in his eyes. :-) And I think of Christmas of course...

I don't know if I remember anything in particular except cold nights which don't happen to often here.

I'm with Mark. I don't remember cold mornings or nights very well. Growing up in Miami, it was never very cold. When it was, it was for a short time. Yay for cold weather! When I start sipping hot chocoloate there isn't much that comes to mind other than "this is yummy" or "there are still some lumps of cocoa that haven't dissolved yet". So, that's all. :)

I'm convinced Mr. "Superclosetnerd" is actually a "SPAM". Nice "generic" comment there. I checked it out, it's all advertisements.
